WHILE I WAS WITH ANGIE, SOMEONE CALLED FOR AN APPT. FOR YOU AND THEY SAID YOU WOULDN'T BE BACK UNTIL SEPT. DO HAVE TO SAY I ADMIRE YOU AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU AND HEAR ALL ABOUT THIS TRIP. I TRIED TO DOWNLOAD TRAILDUDE AND GOT ONE VIDEO BUT FOR SOME REASON CAN'T GET MUCH MORE. YOU WERE TRYING TO GET UP WITH ALL THE GEAR ON YOUR BACK. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS YOU. LOVE, MARTY

You are one incredible dude. I get back from the Amazon, and you are already through to Big Bear -- and now on the Kennedy Meadows!! Wow, what an adventure you are on. I am so very proud of you!!
Sending poles today -- just trying to decide whether to send them to Vermillion or Echo Lake. I'll call Jenny, but I took down both addresses to take with me to town.
Nice to see my uncle signed your guest book. Love you bunches!!

Hey, Brendan, how's it going? Looks like your getting up to the Owens Valley area where I grew up. Sounds like things are going good for you, except for the blisters. Your wife sent your next package Priority Mail to Kennedy Meadows, so hope you get it on Tuesday. Enjoy the Sierras and dress warm at night. Blessings.

My wife Darlene and I, just hung up the phone here near Gettysburg, Pa. at 7:40 PM Saturday evening, after having spoken with Matt, AKA Hiking Bare. He was speaking of this fellow named Trail Dude. Matt said he has not seen him for awhile. After having logged on to traildude.com, I see that TD is actualy just slightly ahead of Matt, as Matt said he is about to arrive at Hiker Town.

We are enjoying watching your progress on the trail. What a fabulous experience and what a dedicated person you are. Here is a poem by Christian Larson we thought you'd like:
"Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Look at the sunny side of everthing and make your optimism come true. Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect on the best. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future."
Our best to you.

We met at Sawmill Campground on Friday May 16. Thanks for letting us share in your journey. It was wonderful to share a meal with you and to hear your story. We will all be following your progress. Thanks for your note by the table and the feather. Several of us did make it to the 500 mile point and saw the note there too! You have introduced us to a whole new world!
