Okay, trekking poles really DID go in the mail on Friday, 5/30. Sent to Echo Lake, per instructions. Sent priority. Look for large shipping tube.
Keep on, keeping on, hairy traildude. Remind me of rockenj, but not quite as knarly, yet.

Hi Traildude!! I met you at Sawmill Campground while I was camping there with the So Cal Camping Group, and we stuffed you with Carne Asada and Beer! I have to tell you that you were the hilight of our weekend for sure, it was so great meeting you and learning about your adventure. I also want to thank you for your encouragement that I should do some section hiking of the PCT, not to mention the nickname you gave me of Section Hiker Kathy...that is too cool! Plus you remembered all our other member's nicknames, that was great! I'll keep checking in to see how your trip is going and I wish you all the luck. We got your special feather that you left for us, and your note in the dirt, you are awesome! We kept the feather for sure! We hiked to the 500 mile mark and didn't find the rock pile but someone (who we think was you) drew in the dirt the number 500 so we outlined it with rocks for the next hikers that come across it. It was a beautiful hike and we have you to thank for that. Also want to thank you for posting our pics on your website, what a treat for us! Take care and hike on buddy!
