Hi Brendan! We miss you and hope you are having a great time! I'm being loyal but hope you are on-schedule for completing the journey...I'll be scarier than you if I go much longer without dealing with the mane. Its been a month since your last journal entry so we're curious where you are?? Be safe!!!

Brendon, Glad to see your back on the trail and you made it up Mt. Whitney. We meet in Olancha and shared some Mickey D's in Lone Pine. The Old Army pass was iced over and impassable with the gear that I had so Mt. Langley will have to wait for another Trip. Your website is amazing! Keep on motoring, you should be coming up on Yosemite soon. Swing by Half Dome for the fantastic views, if you can afford the extra 2 miles. Regards, Guy

I found this quote, which I have always loved, and thought you might enjoy it, after all your escapades. BTW, get the trekking poles?

"I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain."

--the Litany Against Fear, by Frank Herbert, in "Dune"

Brendon, I finally remembered to check out your website and say hello. I met you on May 20th in Tehachapi, a God divine appointment. I was returning from my walk going back to my hotel room and you were standing there looking for a ride back to the Pacific Crest Trail. It was inspiring to have God work that way in our lives. He is so Awesome! I am thankful the hotel clerk let you use the internet to find the exit for the trail and I was able to share that very small piece in your Goderful adventure. God bless you and your family. As I was reading your website so comforting to know you have parents and family praying for you. Jesus said "My house shall be called a house of prayer". 1 Peter 2:9 "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;" Your sister in Jesus Christ Debra Montgomery

Hey, TD, the beard looks good! Glad to hear that you've survived Mt. Whitney. Looking at those pictures, I'd have to say that you're a much braver soul than I! Keep on keepin' on....
