I just thought of our hilarious times at the magical manzanita forest with Doug, and thought I'd drop you a line.
Hope you keep your progress updated as you hike in 2011 - so those of us in your fan club can send you some goodies at your resupply points.

Missed you out there after Independence though. We were hoping that we'd come over a pass and there you'd be!!!
Hope the rest of your summer went well. Hardly recognize you without the mountain man beard. When I get our photos in order I have some to send your way.
Our trip was truly enriched having met and hiked with you. Your Super, we'll remember you always.

Hey, Trail Dude! I was looking at my old emails and found a message from you, and I was wondering where you are on the trail. It sounds like you may be off the trail. I am too, as I had stress fractures in my back, so I had to go home from Independence. I really enjoyed meeting you on the trail, the last time in the vicinity of Mount Baden Powell. Good luck, and I hope to see you again on the trail some day.

Glad to have an update of your status and know you are safe at home. Although you will be missed out here, we are sure you will be back to complete the miles in the future. Congrats on your miles this year and your success this year. It was great meeting you and please keep in touch.
